Under 18s Gym Membership

We offer free gym membership for young people aged 11–17.

All sign-ups must be completed in person at reception with valid photo ID to meet safeguarding and compliance requirements.

What’s included

Free access to the gym

Free access to the sports hall

Ages 11–15 must be accompanied at all times by a paying Bronze or Silver gym member when using the gym or sports hall

11–15 year olds may only use cardio equipment in the gym

The accompanying adult must either:

  • Hold an active membership, or
  • Pay the £5 casual entry fee per visit

To register, please visit Testlands Wellbeing Hub – Green Lane and speak to our reception team.

Please bring:

  • Valid photo ID (mandatory for all under-18s, especially under-16s)

Once registered:

  • A free membership account will be created and remain valid until the young person’s 18th birthday
  • A membership card will be issued and must be scanned at reception on every visit

At Testlands, the safety and wellbeing of young people is our priority. Our under-18s membership is designed to encourage healthy activity while maintaining clear supervision and safeguarding standards.

  • All under-18s are checked in and monitored via reception
  • Clear rules are in place around equipment use, supervision, and access times
  • Our team are available on site to support, guide, and supervise young users of the facility
  • ID checks help ensure the right level of access and supervision is applied at all times

 

If you have any questions before signing up, our reception team will be happy to talk through the membership and expectations.

  • No under-18s in the gym after 6:00pm
  • Maximum of 3 under-18s permitted in the gym at any one time
  • Bags must be stored in designated bag storage areas
  • No bags allowed in exercise areas
