Can I book the sports hall?
Yes, please you can book directly here

Are dogs allowed on the field?
Unfortunately we have a no dog on site policy and therefore your furry friends will need to be left at home

Will I get a refund if I cancel a session at holiday club?
Our cancellation policy is to issue a credit note. Click here to see our cancellation policy.

I clicked on the payment option for childcare vouchers, how do I take payment?
Cancel and rebook in the same way as before but by clicking onto the correct method.

Can my year R child attend if they have not yet had their 5th birthday?
Due to OFSTED guidelines, they must be 5 years old to attend.

How old does my child need to be to attend holiday club?
Between 5-13 years of age.

1. Who can attend your youth programmes?
Our Youth Work programmes are open to young people living in Southampton. Some sessions are open-access, while others (such as Young Carers groups) may require a referral or coordination with partners.

2. Do I need to book in advance?
Most youth clubs and outreach activities are open-access and do not require booking. Some events or specialist sessions may need sign-up, details will be shared on our social platform in advance.

3. How much do sessions cost?
Many of our Youth Work activities are free to attend. If there is a cost for a specific event, we will make this clear. We work hard to ensure affordability and access for all.

4. Where do activities take place?
Youth sessions run across our Testlands Wellbeing Hubs and local community spaces. Outreach takes place directly in neighbourhoods, meeting young people where they are.

5. What support is available for young carers?
Working with Southampton City Council, we provide dedicated spaces where young carers can connect with others, take a break, and enjoy enrichment activities that support their wellbeing.

6. What is the Young Researcher programme?
Young people are trained to gather insights on issues that matter to them, helping elevate youth voice and shape positive change in their communities.

7. Are staff trained and vetted?
Yes. All staff supporting Youth Work are trained, experienced, and DBS-checked. They are committed to building trusted relationships and helping young people feel safe and supported.

8. How do I get involved?
Young people can come along to open sessions or speak with a member of staff during outreach. Parents, carers, and professionals can also contact Testlands for more information.

9. What is the age range?
Specific age range sessions may very but will be will be advertised as such

10. How do I find out about accessibility for disability/additional needs?

How old can a child be to attend the gym?
11 years old with adult

1. Who is the Alternative Provision programme for?
Our AP supports young people who may not be thriving in mainstream education and need a more personalised, therapeutic, or practical environment to reach their potential.

2. What age group do you work with?
We currently deliver bespoke programmes for young people in Key stage 2 – Key stage 4. We also tailor vocational education programmes for NEET individuals from Key stage 5.

3. What does a typical week look like?
Each week blends core learning (Maths, English, and personal development) with wellbeing, fitness, team building, Leadership and outdoor learning experiences

4. How do you support students’ wellbeing and behaviour?
We use restorative and relational approaches that build trust, emotional regulation, and self-awareness. Our environments are designed to feel safe and calm, with clear communication tools and consistent support from trained staff.

5. Do students stay enrolled at their mainstream school?
Yes, most students remain on roll at their school while attending Testlands part-time or full-time as part of an agreed plan with their school or local authority.

6. How is progress measured?
We track each student’s academic, emotional, and behavioural development through wellbeing assessments, safeguarding logs, and individual progress reviews, ensuring consistent feedback to schools and families.

7. How can a student be referred?
Referrals can be made by schools, local authorities, or other professionals. Families can also get in touch directly to discuss suitability and next steps, our team will guide you through the process.

8. Where does the programme take place?
Our Alternative Provision operates across Testlands Wellbeing Hubs and local outdoor learning sites, offering a variety of spaces to learn, move, and connect safely.

9. What makes Testlands different?
Our approach goes beyond education, we focus on the whole person. By blending academic learning, wellbeing support, and community connection, we help young people build confidence, resilience, and lasting pride in who they are.
