What is Intelligent Regeneration? (IR)

Intelligent Regeneration (IR) is a place-based framework that helps communities, services, and systems work together to achieve shared outcomes.

It blends community wisdom, people-centred leadership, and evidence-based learning to make regeneration more inclusive and sustainable.

IR isn’t a project, it’s a way of thinking, connecting, and acting that ensures every voice and resource in a place contributes to positive change.

Core Principles

People Systems First

We build understanding and empathy across the system.

Community-Led & Evidence-Informed

Local people shape the priorities.

Collaborative Action Groups

Shared ownership replaces siloed effort.

Measurable Impact

Data and stories together show what changes.

Learning & Adaptation

Every action generates insight for the next step

Powered by People, Guided by Evidence
At the heart of Intelligent Regeneration are the people who live and work in their communities. They hold the insight, networks, and motivation to create change. Our role is to give them the tools and support to succeed.
